Profile

Ling Zhong is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Research Institute of Economics and Management, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. She received her B.A. in Economics and Mathematics with High Honors from Swarthmore College in 2013 and her Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University in 2019. Before joining SWUFE, she was an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business. Her research fields are labor economics, the economics of education, and personnel economics. Her work examines the returns to human capital in higher education, labor markets, human resource management, and artificial intelligence and organizational change. Her research has appeared in the Journal of Labor Economics, Labour Economics, and Research in Labor Economics. She is an Associate Editor of Industrial Relations: A Journal of Economy and Society and a Research Affiliate with Yale University's Department of Economics and the IZA Institute of Labor Economics.
